In 2023, LC completed a kitchen production facility for Nobia. The new factory, located outside Jönköping in Sweden, is one of Europe’s largest and most advanced kitchen factories, manufacturing kitchen brands such as Marbodal and HTH.
Nobia’s facility, with its 123,000 square meters on a single level, is the largest individual building erected by LC. A lunchtime stroll around the facility covers a distance of 1.5 kilometers if you walk right along the exterior walls. Substantial foundations are required to keep the structure in place. In the ground, 11,000 steel pillars have been driven, with a combined length of approximately 110,000 linear meters. The frame utilized 6,000 tons of steel. On one short side, a railway track enters the building, leading to a platform. Currently, there is no connection to the railway network, but the plan is for transportation to and from Nobia’s production facility to potentially involve trains in the future.
The factory is designed for certification according to Breeam Very Good and equipped with the latest technology to optimize production and minimize environmental impact. This includes the installation of robotic solutions and a focus on energy-efficient materials and systems.
