LC is developing and building a new state-of-the-art warehouse for the wholesale company Ahlsell, covering 62,000 square meters in Eidsvoll, about 70 km north of Oslo. The building, which will be Norway’s largest logistics facility to date, will be equipped with an extensive automation system. A part of the building will be 36 meters high to accommodate a high-bay warehouse.
The Ahlsell project is a good example of how we can offer our customers a complete solution with land, development, and construction. The building is erected on the 266,000 square meters of land that LC acquired in 2021, providing the opportunity for further expansion in the future.
During the development process, we have worked together with the client to reduce the building’s carbon footprint during both the production and operational phases. The facility will be certified according to Breeam-NOR at the Very Good level, and a solar power system, producing at least as much electricity per year as the building consumes, will be installed on the roof.
Production begins in 2024, and the facility is expected to be ready for occupancy in 2025.
