DSV, Vestby

The facility we built for DSV in Vestby in Norway is not only large but also had a crucial time aspect. The terms of the agreement stipulated that a warehouse section of 16,000 square meters should be completed nine months after entering the contract, and the entire facility of 56,000 square meters, including 4,000 square meters of office space on three floors, should be fully constructed within 12 months. Despite the challenges posed by COVID during the production period, the schedule was maintained.

One building serves as a terminal managing road transportated goods to and from all of Norway and Europe. The second building is a warehouse providing customized logistics solutions for various clients and industries. Numerous trucks visit the terminal daily, featuring 120 ports with loading docks and several ground-level ports. A significant portion of the warehouse is fully automated, including adaptation for autonomous forklifts, demanding a perfectly smooth floor.

The office is designed by Danish architects, with many wooden details providing a cozy atmosphere and functioning as acoustic panels. Carpenters were tasked with crafting custom sofas and flower boxes. The office includes a large kitchen and a gym. The entire facility is Breeam-certified at the Excellent level. Solar panels on the roof generate renewable energy, including power for the facility’s charging stations for electric cars and trucks.
